October Recipe - Halloween Party Mix - Date 10/17/2017

If you are looking for an easy and great party mix for Halloween, try this Halloween Chex mix that is sure to be a crowd pleaser!


- 4 oz white chocolate chips (1/3 bag)

- 2 cups Corn Chex or Rice Chex cereal

- 1 cup bite-size pretzel twists

- 1/4 cup raisins

- 1/2 cup candy corn

In medium bowl (uncovered), microwave baking chips on high for 1 minutes to 1 minute 30 seconds. Stop to stir every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth. Gently stir in cereal, pretzels and raisins until evenly coated. Stir in candy corn and decors. Spread on waxed paper or foil until cool and chocolate is set (30 minutes). Break into chunks and eat!

One of the best culinary events of the year is back to Klyde Warren Park, Park and Palate. Park and Palate is an annual fundraiser celebrating the Texas culinary scene. Area popular chefs with breweries and spirits from around the globe will spend the weekend treating your taste buds. Enjoy amazing food and drinks with the beautiful Dallas skyline this weekend. Sunday Cinema Series - Date 10/10/2017

Easy Halloween Costumes - Date 10/05/2017

Need a last minute, easy Halloween costume? Check out some of these ideas. Have fun!

Unisex – Bag of jellybeans: Cut holes for your head and arms into a large clear trash bag and place over yourself. Fill with several small balloons (multi-color variety) and tie bag tight around your waist.

Partner – Dora and Diego: Grab brightly colored clothing and a couple of backpacks and you’re all done.

Female – Rosie the Riveter: Red bandana and denim shirt is all! Super easy!

Male – Carlton from Fresh Prince: Pair a button-up dress shirt with a preppy sweater tied around your neck. Oh, don’t forget to work on your dance!

Tacolandia - Date 09/27/2017

Who loves tacos??   We are just kidding, we know the answer to that…everyone!  In two weekends Tacolandia will be at the Dallas Farmers Market which means unlimited taco samples for all.  Over 35 vendors will be providing their famous tacos for you to sample.  Tickets are only $25 per person and include entry into the event, unlimited taco samples, music, and access to cash bar.  Sounds delicious!

Autumn at the Arboretum - Date 09/25/2017

One of the must-see attractions every year is back, Autumn at the Arboretum. The theme for this year is Wizard of Oz, with all the beautiful fall flowers and plants in bloom, and the internationally-acclaimed Pumpkin Village. Sometime between now and November 22nd, you need to head to the Dallas Arboretum to check out this masterpiece. See over 90,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash, along with hay bales, cornstalks, and Wizard of Oz themed d├ęcor. This should be on everyone’s fall to-do list!
